18 March 2026 Happy Valley Race 2 Preview: Tactical 1650m Contest Likely Under Very Slow Pace

Race 2 at Happy Valley is a Class 4 contest over 1650m where the projected early pace appears very slow. Such a race shape could favour runners positioned near the lead, although several closers still have the ability to threaten if the tempo lifts mid-race.
