27/09/2020  Class 5  Shatin  Turf  A  1000m   Going: GOOD  (2.72)   Rating: 039-021  

WONDER BRAHMA shifted out at the start and bumped ROMAN ODYSSEY. CORRE RAPIDO lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and then was crowded for room between U W BROTHER which began only fairly and FANTASTIC FABIO which shifted out. This resulted in CORRE RAPIDO losing ground and U W BROTHER becoming unbalanced after being bumped by CORRE RAPIDO, shifting out and making contact with the hindquarters of GREEN ENVY. READY CONQUEROR shifted out at the start and brushed XIANG LAN QI. Shortly after the start, BELLA BABY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SOLAR VICTORY due to both horses shifting ground. Approaching the 400 Metres, CORRE RAPIDO was awkwardly placed between FANTASTIC FABIO and BELLA BABY which shifted to the outside of BEAUT BEAUT. After this, BELLA BABY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOLAR VICTORY. Approaching the 100 Metres, GREEN ENVY, which was racing greenly, shifted in abruptly, resulting in FANTASTIC FABIO being inconvenienced. Over the concluding stages, CORRE RAPIDO was awkwardly placed behind U W BROTHER and consequently was not able to be ridden out to the end of the race. After the race, C Schofield reported that BEAUT BEAUT did not feel comfortable in its action during the race. A veterinary inspection of BEAUT BEAUT immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The performance of BEAUT BEAUT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUT BEAUT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also after the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that GREEN ENVY was mildly lame in its left hind leg. A veterinary inspection of ROMAN ODYSSEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. U W BROTHER, BELLA BABY and GREEN ENVY were sent for sampling.

DASHING GRACE was slow to begin. NUNCHUKS got its head up on jumping and began only fairly. ROCHFORD began awkwardly and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. GREAT HARVEST and PRIME TIME made contact at the start. PRIME TIME was then bumped shortly after the start by GREAT HARVEST which shifted out after being bumped by BRAVERY AND POWER. After this, PRIME TIME, from the outside barrier, was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From a wide barrier THE FULL BLOOM was also steadied to obtain cover in the early stages. KANBEKI MOLLY lost its left front plate in the early stages. Near the 950 Metres, SUPER WINNER got its head up and shifted out when awkwardly placed behind KANBEKI MOLLY which was steadied to obtain cover behind GALAXY EMPEROR. Near the 500 Metres, SUPER WINNER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KANBEKI MOLLY when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running. Approaching the 350 Metres, SHOW MISSION raced in restricted room between ROCHFORD and BLAZING PARTNERS which shifted out. SHOW MISSION then got its head on the side, shifted in towards the heels of BLAZING PARTNERS and consequently lost ground. Near the 250 Metres, BLAZING PARTNERS was shifted out across the heels of GALAXY EMPEROR to obtain clear running. The performance of DASHING GRACE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. As this was the second occasion within its last three starts that DASHING GRACE had finished tailed out, that horse will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments before being allowed to race again. A veterinary inspection of DASHING GRACE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, J Moreira was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of BRAVERY AND POWER which he said did not travel well throughout the race. A veterinary inspection of BRAVERY AND POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SMILING SUCCESS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER WINNER and THE FULL BLOOM were sent for sampling.

KING DRAGON began awkwardly and lost ground. GOLDEN FOUR began awkwardly, shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of THE DRIVE which shifted out. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, CHAIRMAN LO failed to muster speed. Approaching the 1200 Metres, BEST FOR YOU was awkwardly placed outside the heels of GOLDEN FOUR due to both horses shifting ground. BEST FOR YOU was then steadied after the 1200 Metres to obtain cover behind GOLDEN FOUR. M Chadwick (THE DRIVE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1100 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of DIAMOND RHYME, causing that horse to be checked and to lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. M Chadwick was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 21 October 2020 and to expire on Sunday, 25 October 2020 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). Passing the 800 Metres, DIAMOND RHYME was awkwardly placed behind THE DRIVE. After the 600 Metres, COPARTNER ERA got its head up when awkwardly placed behind VICTORIOUS LEADER and when racing tight inside GO GOAL TOBY. COPARTNER ERA was then held up for clear running for some distance in the early part of the Straight and after being shifted in to the inside of VICTORIOUS LEADER passing the 300 Metres was again held up for clear running and near the 250 Metres raced tight outside KING DRAGON which raced in restricted room between COPARTNER ERA and DIAMOND RHYME. COPARTNER ERA then continued to be held up for clear running and at the 200 Metres was checked when disappointed for running between HAPPY TANGO and VICTORIOUS LEADER which shifted in marginally. In this incident, COPARTNER ERA stumbled. COPARTNER ERA continued to be held up for clear running until the concluding stages. KING DRAGON was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. KING DRAGON was again held up for clear running approaching and passing the 200 Metres and then after briefly obtaining clear running was steadied when held up for clear running behind THE DRIVE approaching the 100 Metres. Passing the 200 Metres, DIAMOND RHYME was shifted to the inside of THE DRIVE to obtain clear running. GOLDEN FOUR (B Shinn) lay in under pressure in the Straight and over the concluding stages raced tight outside GO GOAL TOBY, resulting in B Shinn having difficulty riding his mount out close to the finishing line. A veterinary inspection of CHAIRMAN LO and BEST FOR YOU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND RHYME immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND RHYME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DIAMOND RHYME, GO GOAL TOBY and GOLDEN FOUR were sent for sampling.

NORDIC WARRIOR and SUPER HONG KONG were slow to begin. DESTINE JEWELLERY was crowded for room on jumping between CHARGE ON and WONDER EXPRESS which shifted in. SOLAR POWER shifted out at the start and inconvenienced BULB ELITE. Shortly after the start, CHAMP PATROL got its head up and travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover and after the 1300 Metres was steadied away from the heels of WONDER EXPRESS which shifted out. From a wide barrier, SPARKLING STAR was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. WONDER EXPRESS travelled wide and without cover in the early stages and passing the 800 Metres was allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead approaching the 600 Metres. Passing the 900 Metres, CHARGE ON was awkwardly placed behind BULB ELITE. Making the turn near the 850 Metres, CHAMP PATROL was taken out marginally by ELIGERE which was directed out by CHARGE ON. Passing the 850 Metres, BULB ELITE got its head up when racing close to the heels of SOLAR POWER. SPARKLING STAR had some difficulty obtaining a run in the early part of the Straight and then approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of CHARGE ON to obtain clear running. CHAMP PATROL got its head on the side and lay out under pressure in the Straight. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SPARKLING STAR had bled from both nostrils. Also after the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on NOBLE CONSORT at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse’s trachea. A veterinary inspection of ELIGERE and DESTINE JEWELLERY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SUPER HONG KONG immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. CHARGE ON and SOLAR POWER were sent for sampling.

GOLDEN LINK was tightened for room on jumping between GALACTIC and HOT CHILI PEPPER which shifted out. DUBLIN STAR and BREEZE OF SPRING were badly crowded for room on jumping between COMFORT LIFE which shifted out and PRAWN YEAH YEAH which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. From wide barriers, SUPER RED DRAGON and WINNING GENGHIS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 1000 Metres, COMFORT LIFE and DUBLIN STAR bumped. Approaching the 900 Metres, PRAWN YEAH YEAH, which was travelling keenly, proved difficult to steady when endeavouring to obtain a trailing position behind GALACTIC. This allowed BEAUTY CHEERS the opportunity to improve its position inside PRAWN YEAH YEAH which was consequently left racing wide and without cover. Making the turn near the 850 Metres, BREEZE OF SPRING raced tight inside the heels of COMFORT LIFE. After the 600 Metres, SUPER RED DRAGON and JUDY’S STAR raced tight. Passing the 400 Metres, COMFORT LIFE shifted out and brushed the hindquarters of DUBLIN STAR when racing tight outside BREEZE OF SPRING. After this, COMFORT LIFE and DUBLIN STAR raced in restricted room between SUPER RED DRAGON and BREEZE OF SPRING which improved to the outside of ALL JOYFUL. This resulted in DUBLIN STAR bumping SUPER RED DRAGON approaching the 300 Metres and becoming unbalanced. DUBLIN STAR then shifted in, resulting in COMFORT LIFE being steadied when crowded for room outside BREEZE OF SPRING (K C Leung) which shifted out. K C Leung was reprimanded and told that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances. Passing the 350 Metres, GOLDEN LINK was directed to the inside of PRAWN YEAH YEAH after being disappointed for running between that horse and ALL JOYFUL. Approaching the 150 Metres, GOLDEN LINK got its head on the side and lay in. GOLDEN LINK then continued to lay in passing the 100 Metres. ALL JOYFUL and DUBLIN STAR bumped close to the finishing line. Close to the finishing line, SUNNY STAR was awkwardly placed behind SUPER RED DRAGON. Close to the winning post, BREEZE OF SPRING raced tight inside SUPER RED DRAGON. Apprentice K H Chan, the rider of G UNIT, was fined the sum of $5,000 for using the whip unnecessarily on a horse out of contention over the concluding stages. After the race, Z Purton was unable to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of HOT CHILI PEPPER which he said was making an abnormal breathing noise during the race. He said HOT CHILI PEPPER travelled somewhat keenly in the middle stages and got its head up when racing close to the heels of G UNIT near the 850 Metres. He said after this HOT CHILI PEPPER travelled only fairly and then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of HOT CHILI PEPPER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GALACTIC and SUPER RED DRAGON were sent for sampling.

27/09/2020  Class 4  Shatin  All Weather Track    1200m   Going: GOOD  (9.48)    Rating: 058-042  

NOBLE BIRTH began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between BLOTTING PAPER and VIVA COUNCIL which also began awkwardly and shifted out. NOBLE BIRTH was then bumped by VIVA COUNCIL which was steadied when crowded for room outside HANDSOME REBEL which shifted out. After this VIVA COUNCIL and NOBLE BIRTH raced tight. Despite being ridden vigorously for some distance in the early stages, VIVA COUNCIL failed to muster speed. FORTUNE HAPPINESS shifted out at the start and made contact with STARLIGHT. FORTUNE HAPPINESS was then bumped a short distance after the start by WAR LORD which got its head on the side and shifted out. From the outside barrier, STAR SUPERIOR was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 800 Metres, VIVA COUNCIL momentarily raced tight inside NOBLE BIRTH which shifted in away from the heels of FORTUNE HAPPINESS. Approaching the 100 Metres, DEMONS ROCK was shifted to the outside of DOLLAR REWARD to continue improving. Throughout the race, GREAT SON travelled wide and without cover. The performance of STARLIGHT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, STARLIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of STARLIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, Z Purton stated that PEARL CHAMPION did not travel well at any stage of the race. He said he had to ride his mount aggressively throughout the early and middle stages in order to have it maintain its position, however, PEARL CHAMPION was not able to remain racing to the outside of DEMONS ROCK after the 800 Metres when laying in and not travelling well. He added PEARL CHAMPION continued to hang in and then in the Straight did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of PEARL CHAMPION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PEARL CHAMPION, favourite for today’s race and which finished at the rear of the field, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PEARL CHAMPION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of HANDSOME REBEL, K Teetan stated that he was able to obtain a good position on HANDSOME REBEL in the early stages behind the lead as was the case when the horse was successful at its last start. He said after following FORTUNE HAPPINESS from the 800 Metres, HANDSOME REBEL initially travelled satisfactorily, however, came off the bridle after the 600 Metres and struggled to maintain its position behind FORTUNE HAPPINESS. He said he rode his mount aggressively rounding the Home Turn, however, HANDSOME REEL came under pressure and gave ground. He added, despite being ridden out in the Straight, HANDSOME REBEL did not respond and was very disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race, particularly in comparison to its last start when successful. A veterinary inspection of HANDSOME REBEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HANDSOME REBEL, a last start winner, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME REBEL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PEARL CHAMPION, BLOTTING PAPER and FORTUNE HAPPINESS were sent for sampling.

After entering the track, M F Poon was dislodged from CZARSON without incident. KING’S HORN was fractious in the barriers and got its head down on a number of occasions and as the start was effected simultaneously put its head down which resulted in the horse being slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, KING’S HORN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. SILVER FIG and MR WEALTH lost ground after bumping shortly after the start when crowded for room between SKY SHOW and EIGHT TRIGRAMS which shifted out. GRATEFUL HEART began awkwardly. JOLLY GOOD HEART shifted out at the start and bumped THOU SHALL SING. YOUNG THUNDER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 800 Metres, MR WEALTH raced in restricted room between SKY SHOW which shifted in and THOU SHALL SING which maintained its position away from the rail. Approaching the 700 Metres, SKY SHOW was bumped by GRATEFUL HEART which improved to be racing tight inside the heels of GOLFMAN STAR. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, MR WEALTH was awkwardly placed behind GRATEFUL HEART. Passing the 650 Metres, GOLFMAN STAR was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 600 Metres, CZARSON raced tight inside EIGHT TRIGRAMS which, after racing tight inside CALIFORNIA CONCORD, then shifted in marginally away from that horse. Passing the 200 Metres, CALIFORNIA CONCORD shifted out under pressure, requiring its rider to change his whip over into his left hand. After this, CALIFORNIA CONCORD continued to lay out under pressure. Throughout the race, CALIFORNIA CONCORD travelled wide and without cover. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of C Y Ho (THOU SHALL SING), 6th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out all the way to the end of the race where circumstances permit. The performance of JOLLY GOOD HEART, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, JOLLY GOOD HEART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of JOLLY GOOD HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, J Moreira said that after coming under pressure from the 600 Metres, SKY SHOW gave ground rounding the Home Turn and then weakened noticeably in the Straight. He said SKY SHOW had had an interrupted preparation leading up to today’s race and he felt that the horse would improve for the run. A veterinary inspection of SKY SHOW immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SKY SHOW, one of the favoured runners for today’s race and which finished at the rear of the field, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SKY SHOW will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of MR WEALTH immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MR WEALTH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EIGHT TRIGRAMS, CALIFORNIA CONCORD and CZARSON were sent for sampling. <28/9/2020 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, MR WEALTH was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. MR WEALTH was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, MR WEALTH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

27/09/2020  Group Three  Shatin  Turf  A  1400m   Going: GOOD  (2.72)   Rating: 130-096  

GOLDEN SIXTY was crowded for room on jumping between KA YING STAR and BEAUTY GENERATION which shifted out. In this incident, GOLDEN SIXTY brushed the hindquarters of KA YING STAR which became unbalanced. FAST MOST FURIOUS and BUDDIES bumped at the start. After this, FAST MOST FURIOUS was steadied to obtain cover. After being crossed by SOUTHERN LEGEND passing the 1000 Metres, CHAMPION’S WAY commenced to travel keenly and for some distance after the 1000 Metres was awkwardly placed behind that horse. After the 800 Metres, RATTAN was left racing wide and without cover and then approaching the 700 Metres was taken wider by CHAMPION’S WAY which shifted to the outside of SOUTHERN LEGEND when continuing to travel keenly. RATTAN was then taken wider again by GOLDEN SIXTY passing the 600 Metres. Passing the 250 Metres, SOUTHERN LEGEND momentarily raced tight between BEAUTY GENERATION and GOLDEN SIXTY. Approaching the 200 Metres, DANCES WITH DRAGON was awkwardly placed behind SOUTHERN LEGEND. Passing the 200 Metres, CHAMPION’S WAY shifted out and raced tight inside GOLDEN SIXTY. Over the concluding stages, BEAUTY GENERATION shifted out under pressure. Close to the finishing line, DANCES WITH DRAGON and FAST MOST FURIOUS raced tight. When questioned, C Schofield stated that KA YING STAR travelled well in the lead and he was able to dictate the tempo of the race. He said given that the race had not been run at a fast tempo, he anticipated that the horse would finish off the race, however, after being challenged by BUDDIES and CHAMPION’S WAY rounding the Home Turn, KA YING STAR immediately came under pressure and then was disappointing in its failure to close off the race over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of KA YING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GOLDEN SIXTY, BEAUTY GENERATION and CHAMPION’S WAY were sent for sampling.

After leaving the Parade Ring, A Hamelin was dislodged from FALCON TURBO without incident. A A AGILITY began only fairly. BRIGHT KID began awkwardly and then lost ground after shifting out and bumping FALCON TURBO. TRIPLE TRIPLE shifted in at the start and brushed BIZ POWER. SMOOTHIES shifted out at the start and made contact with PRECISE EXPRESS which in turn shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of ORIENTAL AMIGO. WINSTON’S LAD shifted in at the start and bumped AURORA PEGASUS. From wide barriers, ORIENTAL AMIGO and AURORA PEGASUS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When being steadied to obtain cover behind BRIGHT KID, AURORA PEGASUS travelled keenly approaching the 800 Metres. TRIPLE TRIPLE and FALCON TURBO raced tight approaching the 300 Metres as TRIPLE TRIPE attempted to improve between FALCON TURBO and SMOOTHIES where there was insufficient room. This resulted in TRIPLE TRIPLE being awkwardly placed behind SMOOTHIES passing the 250 Metres. FALCON TURBO was then brushed by TRIPLE TRIPLE near the 150 Metres as TRIPLE TRIPLE shifted out from behind SMOOTHIES. Close to the finishing line, TRIPLE TRIPLE and FALCON TURBO made contact, resulting in TRIPLE TRIPLE becoming unbalanced. V Borges stated that after racing wide and without cover from the 800 Metres, BRIGHT KID was inclined to lay out in the Straight and for this reason he stopped riding and shifted the horse in passing the 200 Metres in an endeavour to have it race more tractably. C Schofield explained that racing over 1200 Metres today, he shifted PRECISE EXPRESS across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. He said he placed PRECISE EXPRESS under pressure in the early part of the Straight and used the whip on the horse on a number of occasions. He said as the horse was finishing off the race as well as it could, he continued to ride it strongly hands and heels all the way to the end of the race and PRECISE EXPRESS finished off the race well. After the race, C Y Ho reported that from the outside barrier WINSTON’S LAD got too far out of its ground as a result of having to be shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. He said he shifted WINSTON’S LAD, which was up in grade today, out at the entrance to the Straight and was satisfied with the manner in which the horse closed off the race over the concluding stages, given the circumstances. A veterinary inspection of WINSTON’S LAD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of FLASHCARD and BRIGHT KID immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BIZ POWER, BIG FORTUNE and PRESIDENT’S CHOICE were sent for sampling.

As the start was effected, SUPER WEALTHY (A Badel) reared and lost ground and then lost further ground when crowded for room between LUCKY EXPRESS which was racing tight inside WATER DIVINER which shifted in and TORNADO TWIST which was taken out by GREEN AEON. In this incident, LUCKY EXPRESS became badly unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by SUPER WEALTHY. A Badel stated that it was intended for SUPER WEALTHY to be ridden in a forward position with cover, however, the horse was required to race back in the field after jumping awkwardly. From wide barriers, WATER DIVINER and COUNTRY STAR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, SUPER WEALTHY travelled keenly and then was held up for clear running from on straightening until approaching the 200 Metres. Approaching and passing the 700 Metres, WINNING METHOD, which was travelling keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ARMANDO. Then after the 700 Metres, WINNING METHOD shifted out away from the heels of that horse, resulting in MAGIC LEGEND racing tight outside WINNING METHOD. After this, WINNING METHOD continued to travel keenly and in the early part of the Straight had difficulty obtaining clear running. WINNING METHOD was then shifted to the outside of RACING FIGHTER passing the 250 Metres to obtain clear running. Passing the 300 Metres, GREEN AEON momentarily raced tight inside GOOD LUCK FRIEND. After the 300 Metres, UTOPIA LIFE raced tight inside ARMANDO which shifted in before being corrected. Throughout the race, RACING FIGHTER and TRANSCENDENT travelled wide and without cover. When questioned regarding the performance of MR CROISSANT, C Schofield stated that his mount did not travel as strongly in the middle stages as it had when he had ridden it previously. He said he considered improving into tight running inside WINNING METHOD after the 700 Metres and felt that MR CROISSANT was somewhat reluctant to improve its position at this time. He said after placing the horse under pressure rounding the Home Turn, MR CROISSANT did not quicken for him as it had previously and then was very disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of MR CROISSANT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that COUNTRY STAR had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of TRANSCENDENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY EXPRESS and WINNING METHOD were sent for sampling.
