SKY PROPHET (J095): Near the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running. After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount resented the kickback on the All Weather surface, particularly due to light rain falling prior to the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
YODA'S CHOICE (J146): When questioned, Z Purton stated that the instructions were to ensure that his mount led the event. He said as a result in the early stages he rode his mount vigorously to obtain the lead. He said whilst he was aware YODA’S CHOICE was running inside of standard time through the early stage he confirmed that his riding was in accordance with the instructions issued by Trainer P C Ng. Mr Ng confirmed the instructions issued in that Jockey Purton was to ensure that YODA’S CHOICE led and obtained the rail as the horse races best in this position. He said whilst he agreed that the horse ran inside of standard time he was satisfied with the manner in which Jockey Purton had ridden YODA’S CHOICE as, in his opinion, the horse races best when being allowed to run along. Sent for sampling post-race.
PRECISION GOAL (H016): Sent for sampling post-race.

THE KHAN (H489): Jumped awkwardly.
CIRCUIT VICTORY (H487): Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres raced tight between CALIFORNIA ICON and GLUCK RACER which shifted out to improve.
EVER SMART (J179): When questioned, Z Purton stated that from his outside barrier the intention was to hold an on-pace position but not necessarily lead. He said his mount commenced well and was able to lead in the early stages when it showed sufficient pace to do so. He added under pressure in the Home Straight EVER SMART did not respond to his riding and gave ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of EVER SMART was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, EVER SMART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FLYING PHANTOM (J086): Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running. Leaving the 350 Metres made contact with HARRY’S HERO when improving into a tight run between GANGNAM STAR and HARRY’S HERO. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of H Bowman, 8th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race.
SILVER DESTINY (J096): Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between THE KHAN and REGENCY HAPPY STAR which shifted in slightly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419): No report.
GANGNAM STAR (H326): After the event, A Hamelin advised that he was instructed to take up a more forward position on his mount. He said when unable to cross runners to his inside GANGNAM STAR raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued such instructions as GANGNAM STAR had been disappointing when settling at the back of the field.
GLUCK RACER (E157): Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. H Bentley was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where his whip arm was raised above shoulder height on two occasions over the concluding stages. Sent for sampling post-race.

Before being allowed to race again, HARRY’S HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SPEEDY CHARIOT (H193): Slow to begin.
MULTIDARLING (H148): When questioned regarding his riding in the early part of the Home Straight, L Hewitson stated that his instructions were to settle his mount where comfortable, particularly as MULTIDARLING was reported a "roarer”. He said making the Home Turn his first intention was to follow FLYING PHANTOM into the event but when that runner took a narrow run to the inside of HARRY’S HERO he elected to improve to the inside of FLYING PHANTOM to obtain clear running. He said after balancing up near the 400 Metres he observed a run commencing to develop between WOODFIRE CHAMP and CALIFORNIA ICON but as he was of the opinion the run had not fully developed he encouraged his mount forward whilst not committing to the run until it had fully developed. He added after the 200 Metres when he was satisfied the run had fully developed he placed MULTIDARLING under full pressure where it commenced to finish the race off reasonably well. The Stewards advised Jockey Hewitson that, in their opinion, in the early part of the Home Straight there was an opportunity to encourage his mount to improve to be racing closer behind WOODFIRE CHAMP which would allow him the opportunity to immediately take advantage of the run when it presented.
REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248): Over the final 200 Metres lay out under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
CALIFORNIA ICON (H404): No report.
RATTAN WORLD (G384): Withdrawn on 24.1.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MULTIDARLING. Before being allowed to race again, RATTAN WORLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213): On jumping was bumped by AFFORDABLE which shifted in slightly. After the event, H Bowman could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. Trainer C S Shum stated that JOYFUL PROSPERITY was disadvantaged by carrying the top weight of 135 lbs due to it winning its last three race starts and this may have been a contributing factor to the horse’s disappointing performance. He said SUPER FORTUNE is better suited when being able to control or race outside the lead. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
CARROLL STREET (D489): No report.

CRIMSON FLASH (K173): Sent for sampling post-race.
CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CHEVAL VALIANT (E336): The Stewards conducted an inquiry into the reason for FAST RESPONDER being able to improve to the outside of CHEVAL VALIANT near the 350 Metres when CHEVAL VALIANT shifted in and away from the outside rail. Evidence was taken from Trainer D J Whyte, H Bentley, rider of CHEVAL VALIANT, and Apprentice P N Wong, rider of FAST RESPONDER. Jockey Bentley stated that his instructions were to hold the lead and to carry his whip in his right hand as CHEVAL VALIANT has a tendency to lay in in its races. He stated that when he first asked CHEVAL VALIANT to improve from the 600 Metres it commenced to lay in and for this reason approaching the 450 Metres he took his hand from his left rein to regather his mount and attempt to straighten it. He said at the same time he shifted his weight in the saddle towards the outside to further prevent CHEVAL VALIANT from shifting in. When questioned regarding his left arm extending out and away from CHEVAL VALIANT, Jockey Bentley stated that it was a common trait in his riding that his left arm would extend away from his horse when performing similar actions. Apprentice Wong confirmed that she was given no instruction in relation to the positioning of CHEVAL VALIANT, however, she was aware that having previously ridden the horse before that CHEVAL VALIANT does have a tendency to lay in in its races and potentially a run may become available on the stand rail. After considering all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that CHEVAL VALIANT had shifted in due to its own racing manners and that Jockey Bentley had endeavoured to prevent his mount from shifting in but was unable to do so which resulted in FAST RESPONDER obtaining a clear run to its outside.
GRAND NOVA (J323): After the event, A Atzeni reported that after commencing well GRAND NOVA was unable to obtain cover in the early stages and as a result did not finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
KNOW AT HEART (K108): Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start raced in restricted room between SPARKLING FELLOW and SKY CAP which shifted out. When questioned, M Chadwick stated that after following SPARKLING FELLOW into the race from the 300 Metres he became held up when positioned behind that runner. He said he initially contemplated shifting to the inside of CRIMSON FLASH to obtain clear running but was prevented from doing so due to AWESOME TREASURE being positioned to his inside. He said as a result he elected to follow SPARKLING FELLOW into the event but when that runner did not continue to improve he became badly held up behind SPARKLING FELLOW over the final 200 Metres and as a consequence could not ride his mount out to the finish of the event.
SKY CAP (K125): No report.
SILK ROAD GLORY (J361): Was found to be lame in its left front leg on arrival at the Start. Acting on veterinary advice that SILK ROAD GLORY was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, SILK ROAD GLORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
