DAO DAO and ALEXANDROS were slow to begin. IMBONGI began awkwardly. In the early stages, MORE BOUNTIFUL proved difficult to settle and at the 1400 Metres got its head up and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of SIGHT WINNER. When MORE BOUNTIFUL shifted out, it bumped GOOD BA BA. In the middle stages, ARMADA hung out. After the 800 Metres, GOOD BA BA was left racing wide and without cover. After the 200 Metres, C Soumillon (GOOD BA BA) dropped his whip. L Dettori (ALEXANDROS), 7th placegetter, was reminded of his responsibility to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit. COLLECTION, SIGHT WINNER and EGYPTIAN RA were sent for sampling. The Veterinary Officer reported that EGYPTIAN RA was yesterday found to be lame in its right front fetlock. Before being allowed to race again, EGYPTIAN RA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
