BE GRATEFUL and HEALTHY BLUEBERRY were difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, BE GRATEFUL and HEALTHY BLUEBERRY will both have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. REDOUTE STAR began awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground. CRIMSON LUCK was slow to begin. FUN RIDER was slow into stride. In the early stages, BE GRATEFUL hung in, near the 1100 Metres shifted ground when not clear of DEVON JOY, resulting in that horse being steadied. Near the 1000 Metres, LEGEND EXPRESS was steadied away from the heels of BE GRATEFUL which continued to hang in and shifted in away from BRIGHT TOUCH. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FUN RIDER, which was hanging out, shifted ground and was steadied away from the heels of SUPER PEPPER. At the 650 Metres DEVON JOY was checked to avoid the heels of LEGEND EXPRESS which got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ROYAL FLUSH which in turn was steadied away from the heels of BRIGHT TOUCH. Also at the 650 Metres, FUN RIDER was checked away from the heels of SUPER PEPPER. For the major part of the race, DASHING VICTORY was inclined to hang out. Throughout the race, YOUNG WITNESS travelled wide and without cover. LEGEND EXPRESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LEGEND EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. DASHING VICTORY, FLYING SUPREME and ROYAL FLUSH were sent for sampling.
