THE GOODIES and FAT DRAGON were slow to begin. After entering the Home Straight on the first occasion, FAT DRAGON was shifted out and allowed to stride forward. Passing the 1600 Metres, MAN IN THE MIRROR got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of PRINCE KALAMOUN. After this, MAN IN THE MIRROR commenced to over-race and proved difficult to settle, then after the 1200 Metres as the tempo of the race was steadying was shifted out and allowed to improve around the field. After the 1200 Metres, EYE WITNESS was left racing wide and without cover. After the 600 Metres, ROYAL PEGASUS was carried wider by FLORAL NIRVANA. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PRIME TARGET hung in, then after the 100 Metres was steadied away from the heels of BILLION which was giving ground. Shortly after straightening, PRINCE KALAMOUN, which was being shifted out to obtain clear running, became unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROYAL PEGASUS. THE GOODIES and CLASSIC REUNION were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of THE GOODIES and CLASSIC REUNION after the race did not show any significant findings. MAN IN THE MIRROR and PRINCE KALAMOUN were sent for sampling.
