Steward Report Predict Pace Map
JADE DANCER was withdrawn on 11.6.09 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter DARREN. Before being allowed to race again, JADE DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, NAMJONG FIGHTERS stumbled. Also on jumping, SUNNY SMILES and WILD ACE bumped. On jumping, Apprentice K C Leung, the rider of KEEN TAKER, lost the use of his right stirrup which he was not able to regain until shortly after the 1100 Metres. Also on jumping, the blindfold, which had been applied to SUNNY SMILES and had been removed prior to the start being effected, became caught over the left arm of C K Tong, the horse’s rider. Near the 1100 Metres, C K Tong reached out with his left arm to release the blindfold. MASTER GREEN was slow into stride, then shifted in and bumped CENTURY SUPER STAR. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, KING POWER was steadied away from the heels of WILD ACE. At the 250 Metres, SHAXI BABY, which was giving ground, became unbalanced after being bumped by THAT’S IT. In the Straight, DARREN hung out. Throughout the race, THAT’S IT travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, D Whyte (MASTER GREEN) explained his mount became unbalanced and dipped prior to straightening. He said after this he commenced to ride along to follow CENTURY SUPER STAR, however, when that horse quickened after straightening, MASTER GREEN did not respond to his riding. He said near the 300 Metres MASTER GREEN continued to fail to respond to his riding and was shortening in its action. He said because of this he stopped riding in an endeavour to have his mount properly balanced, then near the 200 Metres he recommenced riding his mount out hands and heels. He said over the final 200 Metres MASTER GREEN gave no response and continued to feel awkward in its action. MASTER GREEN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of MASTER GREEN after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER GREEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THAT’S IT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of THAT’S IT after the race did not show any significant findings. CENTURY SUPER STAR and MAGIC TEMPLE were sent for sampling.<15/6/2009 Additional Veterinary Report > MASTER GREEN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. MASTER GREEN was again examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison at the stables of Trainer B K Ng yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, MASTER GREEN will have to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
