SHOWTIME began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of TOUT VA BIEN which shifted out. FLY HIGH, which was leaning against the side of its stall, knuckled over and then shifted out, resulting in BUSHWHACKER being taken out onto PROSPERITY KID which was hampered. PERFECT FIT shifted out at the start and was steadied away from the heels of JUST RIGHT. After this, PERFECT FIT failed to muster speed. Passing the 900 Metres, SHOWTIME shifted in abruptly and lost ground when racing greenly. PROSPERITY KID hung out making the turn at the 600 Metres. After the 600 Metres, FLY HIGH was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 550 Metres, TOUT VA BIEN was steadied away from the heels of PAR EXCELLENCE which shifted in slightly. Over the concluding stages, THUNDER FLASH was awkwardly placed inside BELONG TO CASA. FIONN’S DRAGON, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of THUNDER FLASH in consequence. In the Straight, FIONN’S DRAGON hung in. A veterinary inspection of FLY HIGH after the race revealed that the horse had a dynamic pharyngeal collapse on scoping. A veterinary inspection of PERFECT FIT after the race did not show any significant findings. HAPPEE GIFT and PAR EXCELLENCE were sent for sampling.
