WINFINDER began awkwardly. COVER BOY was slow to begin and shortly after the start was checked when crowded for room between TOUCH LUCKY and JOYFUL YEARS which shifted out abruptly at the start. When shifting ground outwards, JOYFUL YEARS blundered. After the 850 Metres, COVER BOY was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 350 Metres, ROCKALOT and COVER BOY bumped, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. WAIT FOR ME was unable to obtain clear running from near the 300 Metres until passing the 200 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, PERPETUAL DELIGHT was shifted out away from the heels of COVER BOY and then over the concluding stages was steadied when crowded for room between COVER BOY and PACIFIC ALLIANCE which shifted in. SPEED RACER, GRANDWAY FLYER and ROCKALOT were sent for sampling.
