CHINA WIN was slow to begin. HORSESHOE FORTUNE began awkwardly. Passing the 1100 Metres, FORTUNE SIX commenced to over-race and proved difficult to settle and then passing the 1000 Metres became unbalanced when being checked away from the heels of SADDLERS LODGE. For some distance after this, FORTUNE SIX continued to prove difficult to settle. Near the 850 Metres, HORSESHOE FORTUNE shifted out and bumped LOMBARDI. Near the 700 Metres, HORSESHOE FORTUNE shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FORTUNE SIX which at this time was checked away from the heels of SADDLERS LODGE when continuing to prove difficult to settle. When HORSESHOE FORTUNE shifted out, LOMBARDI was bumped and taken wider. Near the 200 Metres, NOVEL WINNING momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of KING AL AKBAR. Near the 100 Metres, MOON CHASER, which was finishing off the race fairly, was checked away from the heels of WEI HAI INVINCIBLE which was giving ground. For the majority of the race, both SUISSE D`OR and AMAZING SKY travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of CHINA WIN after the race did not show any significant findings. KING AL AKBAR and SADDLERS LODGE were sent for sampling.
