WIN MORE was withdrawn on 6.1.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter DASH AHEAD (O Doleuze). Before being allowed to race again, WIN MORE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Whilst parading behind the barriers, PEGASUS SUPREME was kicked behind the right shoulder by one of the lead horses. PEGASUS SUPREME was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. GOLD RUSH was slow to begin and shortly after the start was crowded for room between SUPER STRIKE and GOLDMEN Y Y which shifted out. Shortly after the start, SUPER STRIKE was momentarily crowded for room between GOLD RUSH and SUPER CAGA which was taken in by BEAUTIFUL CHOICE. Despite being ridden along in the early stage, SUPER CAGA failed to muster speed and then in the early and middle stages was left racing wide and without cover. After the 1200 Metres, SUPER CAGA was allowed to improve into a more forward position but continued to race wide and without cover. Near the 900 Metres, BEAUTIFUL CHOICE was left racing wide and without cover. For some distance rounding the Home Turn, GOLDMEN Y Y raced in restricted room when attempting to obtain a run between HANDSOME BATCHELOR and BEST NOODLE where there was insufficient room. HANDSOME BATCHELOR had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Near the 300 Metres, AMAZING CHOICE was shifted out when disappointed for running between SUPER STRIKE and SHAM SHUI PO which was taken out by BEST NOODLE. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTIFUL CHOICE and AMAZING CHOICE after the race did not show any significant findings. PEGASUS SUPREME and TOP DRAGON were sent for sampling.
