FULL PACK was slow to begin. From wide barriers, LOTS OF FUN and THAT’S IT were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1200 Metres, JOYFUL YEARS was left racing wide and without cover and passing the 900 Metres was allowed to improve its position, however, continued to race wide and without cover. Passing the 700 Metres, FULL PACK was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPREME COMMANDER. Near the 100 Metres, Apprentice K C Leung (LOTS OF FUN) dropped his right rein. M Chadwick reported that after being ridden along to obtain a more forward position from barrier 13, MULTILOVE then proved difficult to settle and over-raced. He said because of this MULTILOVE weakened badly in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of MULTILOVE, which finished tailed out, after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MULTILOVE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MULTILOVE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of CHEEKY LAD after the race did not show any significant findings. FULL PACK, JOYFUL YEARS and BAYVIEW GREYSLEW were sent for sampling.
