CONNOISSEUR’S PICK began awkwardly. Making the first turn after the 700 Metres, ST DIDAR and SOLAR UP raced tight for some distance inside SHAHJEE (H W Lai) which shifted in. Near the 500 Metres, ST DIDAR and SOLAR UP again momentarily raced tight inside SHAHJEE. H W Lai was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves sufficient racing room for runners to his inside in future. At the 600 Metres, GOOD STRIKE was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALWAYS SOMETHING. At the 500 Metres, GOOD STRIKE and TURF MAGIC raced tight. After the 200 Metres, MAGIC TEMPLE raced tight inside CONNOISSEUR’S PICK which shifted in slightly. Over the concluding stages, FLYING IN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOLAR UP. BEST FIT and HORSE GALORE were sent for sampling.
