As the start was effected, SILVER FLOWER stood flat-footed and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, SILVER FLOWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. TAKEANOTHERCHANCE began awkwardly, shifted out at the start and bumped TOWERING STORM. D Beadman (ELEGANCE KLAMMER) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 800 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of TOWERING STORM, resulting in that horse being hampered and taken in across the rightful running of NICE FOLKS which as a result was checked and lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled. DANZULU, which was following NICE FOLKS, was checked away from the heels of that horse in consequence. D Beadman was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 6 February 2012 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 29 January 2012. Near the 300 Metres, NICE FOLKS was steadied away from the heels of ENABLING which shifted out. Passing the 200 Metres, ENABLING was steadied when disappointed for running between HAPPY SEVEN and ELEGANCE KLAMMER which was taken in by ATHENIUM which got its head on the side and shifted in away from PEPPERMINT. After this, ENABLING had difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 100 Metres. For the major part of the race, ELEGANCE KLAMMER travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of NICE FOLKS and HAPPY SEVEN after the race did not show any significant findings. ELEGANCE KLAMMER, PEPPERMINT and ATHENIUM were sent for sampling
