SUNNY SKY, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded for room between WINNING PAL and SABINA which was taken out by TELECOM GOGO. Near the 1700 Metres, FULL STAR, which was proving difficult to settle, improved into tight running inside BULLISH POWER which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR SPEEDY. When BULLISH POWER shifted out, it made contact with TREASURE GLITTER which maintained its position at this time. Due to this contact, BULLISH POWER shifted back in and crowded FULL STAR. In the circumstances, no further action was taken. Near the 1400 Metres, SUNNY SKY got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of TREASURE GLITTER. Near the 850 Metres, TREASURE GLITTER and FULL STAR bumped as FULL STAR shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, SABINA got its head on the side and lay in, resulting in KUNG HEI FAT CHOI being hampered when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR SPEEDY. BULLISH POWER had difficulty obtaining clear running until passing the 250 Metres. Throughout the race, SABINA travelled wide and without cover. WINNING PAL, which raced at the rear of the field throughout the race, then tailed out in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of WINNING PAL after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WINNING PAL was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING PAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that TELECOM GOGO had sustained a mild abrasion to the inside of the left hind fetlock. FULL STAR, TELECOM GOGO and SUNNY SKY were sent for sampling.
