FLEET COMMAND was withdrawn on 14.6.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of mucopus in trachea on scoping) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter REAL SUPREME. Before being allowed to race again, FLEET COMMAND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FAIR TRADE shifted out abruptly at the start, resulting in DESIGNS ON ROME being hampered and steadied away from the heels of that horse. From a wide barrier, DEEP THINKER was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 1200 Metres, FAIR TRADE was momentarily crowded for room inside SOLAR GREAT (B Prebble) which shifted in. B Prebble was reprimanded and advised to exercise care in future. Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, TOUR DE FORCE commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of ALL YOU WISH. Approaching the 800 Metres, FAIR TRADE was left racing wide and without cover. At the 400 Metres, DESIGNS ON ROME was steadied and shifted to the inside of the heels of ALL YOU WISH to obtain clear running. Near the 300 Metres, RUMBA KING was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of SOLAR GREAT which shifted in. Passing the 200 Metres, TOUR DE FORCE was shifted out away form the heels of FAIR TRADE to obtain clear running. The near the 150 Metres, TOUR DE FORCE was hampered when crowded for room between TALLEY CLOSE and FAIR TRADE which got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure. When questioned, T H So stated that after being loaded, TARZAN I AM became fractious and as the start was effected began awkwardly, stumbled and then was steadied away from the heels of DESIGNS ON ROME. He said because of this TARZAN I AM was not able to lead as instructed. He said when racing back in the field today, TARZAN I AM proved difficult to settle, raced keenly and had to be steadied away from the heels of TOUR DE FORCE for some distance in the early and middle stages. He added in the Straight he shifted TARZAN I AM to the outside and the horse initially commenced to finish off the race well. He said however that over the final 200 Metres TARZAN I AM closed off the race only one-paced. A veterinary inspection of TARZAN I AM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, TARZAN I AM will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. A veterinary inspection of FAIR TRADE immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, FAIR TRADE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that G-ONE WINNING had bled from both nostrils and that TOUR DE FORCE had sustained a wound to the outside of the left hind heel. ALL YOU WISH and DESIGNS ON ROME were sent for sampling.
