WATCH OUT was slow to begin. EXCITABLE BOY shifted out at the start, resulting in ABLE WARRIOR being hampered when crowded for room and taken out onto DOUBLE GLORY which became unbalanced after being bumped by ABLE WARRIOR. DEHERE’S THE LOVE was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From a wide barrier, DANEWIN TIGER was taken across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1000 Metres, EXCITABLE BOY momentarily raced in restricted room inside ABLE WARRIOR which was steadied to avoid the heels of OVETT (H Bowman) which shifted in when not properly clear. H Bowman was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. Near the 850 Metres, MASTER KOCHANWONG was momentarily steadied away from the heels of OVETT which shifted in. Passing the 800 Metres, EXCITABLE BOY got its head up and proved difficult to settle when being checked away from the heels of ABLE WARRIOR. CLANCY AVENUE, which was following, was hampered in consequence. Making the turn approaching the 700 Metres, DOUBLE GLORY became unbalanced after shifting in and making contact with the running rail. Passing the 200 Metres, EXCITABLE BOY was hampered when crowded for room between DEHERE’S THE LOVE which initially shifted out and CLANCY AVENUE which shifted in marginally before being corrected by its rider. The performance of HELLA HEDGE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HELLA HEDGE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DOUBLE GLORY lost its right front plate during the running of the race. A veterinary inspection of ABLE WARRIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MASTER KOCHANWONG and RUMBA KING were sent for sampling.
