FABULOUS NOVEMBER, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, CAREFREE LET GO failed to muster speed. ELITE SPIRIT shifted out at the start and hampered ORIONIDS. From the outside barrier, LOTUS BREEZE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Near the 1050 Metres, RADIANT STEED was steadied when crowded for room inside IRON BOY which was taken in by CHARITY GLORY which in turn was taken in momentarily by MULTIMAX (Apprentice K K Chiong). Apprentice Chiong was reprimanded and advised to ensure that she leaves comfortable racing room for runners to her inside in future. CAPE THE FAITH, which was following, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of RADIANT STEED in consequence. Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, ELITE SPIRIT was steadied when racing in restricted room between LOTUS BREEZE and RADIANT STEED, both of which shifted slight ground. Near the 850 Metres, CHARITY GLORY was steadied away from the heels of ORIONIDS. Over the final 200 Metres, GREEN CARD was not able to obtain clear running and consequently was not properly tested. Near the 50 Metres, CAREFREE LET GO raced tight inside EXPEDITE which shifted in under pressure, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten. Over the concluding stages, IRON BOY raced in restricted room between MULTIMAX which shifted out marginally under pressure and CHARITY GLORY (N Rawiller) which shifted in. Due to CHARITY GLORY shifting in, N Rawiller stopped riding and straightened his mount. Close to the finishing line, CAPE THE FAITH raced tight inside ORIONIDS which got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten. Throughout the race, SUNNY ORIENT travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY ORIENT and CAREFREE LET GO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GREEN CARD, MULTIMAX and CHARITY GLORY were sent for sampling.
