PAKISTAN STAR shifted in at the start and bumped HAMMER KING. LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT and GORGEOUS KING made heavy contact on jumping, causing both horses to become badly unbalanced. From the outside barrier, HIGH AND MIGHTY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Throughout the early and middle stages, SPICY SURE travelled strongly in the lead. Approaching the 900 Metres, SOLAR HEI HEI commenced to prove difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPEEDY LONGWAH. At the 900 Metres, MERION was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR BOGART. Passing the 500 Metres, SOLAR HEI HEI and TRAVEL DATUK raced tight as SOLAR HEI HEI shifted out into clear running. At the entrance to the Straight, HIGH AND MIGHTY was shifted in away from the heels of SANTA FE SUN. Near the 350 Metres, SPEEDY LONGWAH shifted out and bumped GORGEOUS KING, causing both horses to become unbalanced. LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT, which was following, was shifted out away from the heels of GORGEOUS KING passing the 300 Metres. Passing the 150 Metres, HIGH AND MIGHTY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of MERION which shifted out. S Clipperton (HIGH AND MIGHTY) was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the best of his ability all the way to the end of the race. After the race, C Y Ho (LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT) reported that his saddle shifted forward rounding the Home Turn. MR BOGART and PAKISTAN STAR were sent for sampling.
