Shortly after the start, APACHE SPIRIT raced tight between DRAGON DANCE and SUNNY DRAGON which shifted out. After initially being steadied from a wide barrier to obtain a position with cover, FAIRY TWINS was then ridden along after the 1000 Metres to improve its position. CHIU CHOW KID was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Passing the 1100 Metres, APACHE SPIRIT was crowded for room between SUNNY DRAGON and WHO'STHEDUDE which got its head on the side and shifted in. WHO'STHEDUDE was then directed out to relieve the tightening to APACHE SPIRIT. After this, WHO'STHEDUDE lost its right front plate. After the 1000 Metres, HAPPY BAO BEI got its head up when being steadied to allow MASTER VIKING to cross. Approaching the 700 Metres, HAPPY BAO BEI again got its head up when awkwardly place close to the heels of MASTER VIKING. ALL GREAT FRIENDS travelled wide and without cover until near the 500 Metres. Approaching the 250 Metres, WHO'STHEDUDE shifted out and bumped SUNNY DRAGON. S Clipperton (CHIU CHOW KID) was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit. The performance of DRAGON DANCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON DANCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY DRAGON, DRAGON DANCE and MASTER VIKING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WHO'STHEDUDE, MOLLY'S JADE STAR and APACHE SPIRIT were sent for sampling. <31/10/2016 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that ALL GREAT FRIENDS was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, ALL GREAT FRIENDS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
