Steward Report Predict Pace Map
From wide barriers, CHEER WIN and SPEEDY ACHIEVER were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. GOLDEN DEER shifted in at the start and bumped AMBITIOUS HEART. JUMBO HAPPINESS and STARLOT bumped at the start. JUMBO HAPPINESS then shifted in and crowded DESTIN. In this incident, JUMBO HAPPINESS became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by DESTIN and shifted in further, resulting in DESTIN being steadied when crowded for room. After being ridden along in the early stages, UNIQUE JOYFUL got its head on the side and shifted in. UNIQUE JOYFUL was then steadied when racing wide and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, DESTIN got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of GOLDEN DEER. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, DESTIN again lay out towards the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART. GOLDEN DEER, which was racing to the outside of DESTIN, was inconvenienced. Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, CHEER WIN shifted out and raced tight inside the heels of JUMBO HAPPINESS. Rounding the Home Turn, SPEEDY ACHIEVER became unbalanced after brushing the running rail. Passing the 300 Metres, YO-YO DA (O Murphy) shifted in, resulting in GOOD COMPANION being momentarily crowded for room. Then, near the 250 Metres, O Murphy directed YO-YO DA out to relieve the tightening to GOOD COMPANION, resulting in YO-YO DA bumping heavily with VERY RICH MAN which became badly unbalanced when crowded onto GRACYDAD which also became unbalanced when bumped by VERY RICH MAN. DESTIN, which was following GRACYDAD, was hampered when shifting out away from the heels of GRACYDAD and making contact with AMBITIOUS HEART. O Murphy was advised that whilst the Stewards acknowledged that the shift out from YO-YO DA was as a result of him correcting the horse so as to prevent causing interference to GOOD COMPANION, nonetheless he was advised to make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground and causing interference. SPEEDY ACHIEVER was held up for clear running from approaching the 200 Metres until approaching the 150 Metres. CHEER WIN momentarily raced tight inside SPEEDY ACHIEVER near the 150 Metres. Approaching the 100 Metres, SPEEDY ACHIEVER shifted out and brushed YO-YO DA which in turn was taken out onto VERY RICH MAN. Over the concluding stages, SPEEDY ACHIEVER and GRACYDAD raced tight. For the majority of the race, STARLOT travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of VERY RICH MAN and YO-YO DA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GOOD COMPANION and DESTIN were sent for sampling. <26/1/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that STARLOT had a sore left eye on the morning after racing.
