DUKEDOM began awkwardly and lost ground. WATER DIVINER began only fairly. TIME WARP began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, SILLY BUDDIES and HEALTHY JOYFUL bumped. After initially being ridden along from a wide barrier, GREEN CARD was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners. Passing the 1100 Metres, MR GENUINE shifted out and bumped PACKING STONES which was travelling keenly. Approaching the first turn near the 900 Metres, PACKING STONES, which continued to travel keenly, got its head up when being checked away from the heels of MR GENUINE. Near the 850 Metres, TIME WARP was awkwardly placed behind TURF SPRINT. After the 700 Metres, MR GENUINE was left racing wide and without cover. Shortly after entering the Straight, PACKING STONES got its head on the side and lay in behind MR GENUINE, resulting in PACKING STONES being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse. In the early part of the Straight, TIME WARP raced with its head on the side and lay in. Near the 175 Metres, WATER DIVINER was shifted away from the heels of SMART DECLARATION which shifted out. Near the 100 Metres, PACKING STONES got its head up when being checked out away from the heels of MR GENUINE which shifted out away from GREEN CARD as that horse improved to the inside of MR GENUINE. A veterinary inspection of WATER DIVINER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BEAT THE CLOCK and TURF SPRINT were sent for sampling.
