KIROV was withdrawn on 6.3.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left front foot). Before being allowed to race again, KIROV will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ROBUST MOMENTUM and CASA MASTER bumped at the start. Shortly after the start, SOUL ACHIEVER shifted in and bumped GREAT TREASURE. From the outside barrier, MEGATRON was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, GREAT TREASURE was hampered when crowded for room between EASTERN PROWESS and MEGATRON (K Teetan) which shifted in. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, MEGATRON, which was travelling keenly, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of EXCELLENCE which was steadied to avoid the heels of GOBI STORM. SPARKLING SWORD travelled wide and without cover until passing the 1100 Metres. After the 800 Metres, CASA MASTER was left racing wide and without cover. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ROCKET LET WIN momentarily raced in restricted room inside SPARKLING SWORD which lay in. Passing the 500 Metres, EXCELLENCE shifted out and bumped GREAT TREASURE. Approaching the 450 Metres, ROCKET LET WIN got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of SPARKLING SWORD. SOUL ACHIEVER, which was following ROCKET LET WIN, was held up behind that horse in consequence. Near the 150 Metres, ROBUST MOMENTUM was shifted in away from the heels of SPARKLING SWORD which was giving ground. A veterinary inspection of SPARKLING SWORD and ROBUST MOMENTUM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EXCELLENCE and SOUL ACHIEVER were sent for sampling.
