MONEY BOY began awkwardly. LOADED and EXPERTO CREDE began only fairly and from wide barriers were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Shortly after the start, HARRIER JET shifted in and bumped VARA PEARL which became unbalanced. After initially being ridden along, PAKISTAN BABY was left racing very wide approaching the first turn near the 1000 Metres and was then steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. OHANA was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover and making the first turn near the 1000 Metres was awkwardly placed inside the heels of HAPPY YEAH YEAH. Near the 850 Metres, HEALTHY LUCK momentarily raced in restricted room inside YOU READ MY MIND which lay in. Passing the 800 Metres, PAKISTAN BABY got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY YEAH YEAH. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, LOADED brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. Passing the 150 Metres, VARA PEARL raced tight inside YOU READ MY MIND which shifted in away from HARRIER JET. For the majority of the race, TANG FLEMING travelled wide and without cover. After the race, it was reported that HAPPY YEAH YEAH had sustained a deep wound above the point of the left hock. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY YEAH YEAH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of TANG FLEMING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. HARRIER JET and HEALTHY LUCK were sent for sampling.
