The tongue tie applied to FORMULA GALORE was refitted behind the barriers. CASA MASTER began only fairly and then was bumped by MIDNITE PROMISE which shifted in on jumping. RED ELYSEES began only fairly. Shortly after the start, DARING HEART shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of SPARKLING SWORD. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, DARING HEART was steadied away from the heels of RED HORSE. After the 1300 Metres, NEVER BETTER lay out and bumped EXCELLENCE, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. After being crossed by RAGING BULL after the 1200 Metres, CONTRIBUTION shifted out away from the heels of that horse near the 1100 Metres, resulting in SPARKLING SWORD being taken wide and without cover. After this, SPARKLING SWORD continued to race wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. Passing the 1100 Metres, EXCELLENCE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MIDNITE PROMISE. Passing the 900 Metres, RED HORSE became unbalanced when awkwardly placed outside the heels of MIDNITE PROMISE. Near the 250 Metres, SPARKLING SWORD, which was giving ground, raced tight between MIDNITE PROMISE and DARING HEART which, when endeavouring to shift to the outside of EXCELLENCE, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse which shifted out to obtain clear running. Approaching the 200 Metres, DARING HEART and MIDNITE PROMISE bumped. Also approaching the 200 Metres, NEVER BETTER and FORMULA GALORE raced tight. A veterinary inspection of CASA MASTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. A veterinary inspection of RED HORSE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CONTRIBUTION, RAGING BULL and DARING HEART were sent for sampling.
