YOURTHEWONFORME and HAPPY CENTURY began only fairly. From wide barriers, STARRY STARLIES, VICTORY MUSIC and SAKURA FIGHTER were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 900 Metres, FANTASTIC FABIO was bumped by KING’S STEED which was steadied to avoid the heels of GAINFULJET (Z Purton) which shifted in when not quite clear. Z Purton was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. After the 800 Metres, FANTASTIC FABIO was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 250 Metres, TELECOM BOOM was shifted to the outside of GAINFULJET to obtain clear running after being disappointed for running inside that horse. Over the concluding stages, KING’S STEED and GOLD TALENT raced tight. A veterinary inspection of GAINFULJET and SAKURA FIGHTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YOURTHEWONFORME and ENCHANTED FEELING were sent for sampling.
