AMUSING CITY shifted in at the start and bumped FLAME LILY. FLAME LILY then became unbalanced when racing tight between AMUSING CITY and WIN BEAUTY WIN.
Shortly after the start, AMAZING NIGHTSTAR and AMAZING SATCHMO bumped.
From the outside barrier, XIANG HUANG QI was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, SMART CHARADE was steadied away from the heels of AMAZING SATCHMO which shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WIN BEAUTY WIN.
After the 1200 Metres, SMART CHARADE was bumped by TELECOM MAN which shifted out.
GALLANT RETURN had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and then approaching the 100 Metres was held up for a run behind SPARKLING DRAGON and inside WIN BEAUTY WIN. GALLANT RETURN continued to be held up and after the 50 Metres was shifted to the outside of WIN BEAUTY WIN to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, SINCERE HORSE and FLAME LILY travelled wide and without cover.
A Sanna, the rider of XIANG HUANG QI, was spoken to regarding using the whip on that horse when it was out of contention.
SPARKLING DRAGON and WIN BEAUTY WIN were sent for sampling.
<4/12/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that AMUSING CITY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, AMUSING CITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
