GRACYDAD was crowded for room on jumping between AMBITIOUS HEART and FORMULA GALORE, both of which shifted ground. PLANET STAR was crowded for room on jumping between HAPPY HAPPY and UNIQUE JOYFUL which shifted in. In this incident, PLANET STAR bumped HAPPY HAPPY, resulting in both horses becoming badly unbalanced. After this, both HAPPY HAPPY and PLANET STAR were shifted across behind runners. SUPER JUNIOR got its head up when being steadied shortly after the start to obtain a position with cover. Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, FORMULA GALORE was momentarily tightened for room between AMBITIOUS HEART, which was proving very difficult to settle and racing tight outside INFINITY ENDEAVOUR, and SHARPMIND which shifted in momentarily before being directed out to relieve the tightening to FORMULA GALORE. After the 700 Metres, FORMULA GALORE was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 600 Metres, SHOW MISSION was checked away from the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART. Approaching the Home Turn, SHOW MISSION was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART. Passing the 100 Metres, SUPER JUNIOR was brushed by PLANET STAR which improved into tight running between SUPER JUNIOR and UNIQUE JOYFUL. When questioned, D Whyte stated that AMBITIOUS HEART was more agitated behind the barriers than it had been when he had ridden it previously. He said after riding his mount along in the early stages to ensure that AMBITIOUS HEART was able to obtain a good position from an inside barrier, the horse almost immediately commenced to over-race and got its head up on a number of occasions in the run to the first turn. He said AMBITIOUS HEART hung out making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, however, he was able to shift it back in to race one horse off the rail and it appeared as though for a short distance after that AMBITIOUS HEART would race more tractably. He said however that throughout the middle stages AMBITIOUS HEART continued to over-race and again got its head up on numerous occasions and then making the turn after the 600 Metres hung out and was severely checked away from the heels of FORMULA GALORE. D Whyte added that whilst AMBITIOUS HEART had a tendency to travel keenly in a number of its races at Sha Tin when previously ridden by him, nonetheless the horse had never raced as intractably as it did tonight. A veterinary inspection of AMBITIOUS HEART immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The racing manners of AMBITIOUS HEART were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, AMBITIOUS HEART will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend. A veterinary inspection of BOSSIEE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. INFINITY ENDEAVOUR and SHARPMIND were sent for sampling.
