FLAME LILY was slow to begin. HAPPY SEBRING shifted out at the start and bumped COME ON WONGCHOY. TRIUMPHANT LIGHT lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and then shifted in and bumped NICE KICK. From the outside barriers, LUCKY MASTER and LONDON HALL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1250 Metres, DOCTORS DELIGHT was momentarily steadied away from the heels of CAPTAIN BOSS which shifted in after being brushed by FLYING NOBLE. Approaching the 1100 Metres, TRIUMPHANT LIGHT raced tight inside CAPTAIN BOSS which was taken in by FLYING NOBLE (Z Purton). In this incident, NICE KICK, which was racing inside TRIUMPHANT LIGHT, was inconvenienced. Then passing the 1100 Metres, TRIUMPHANT LIGHT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of CAPTAIN BOSS which shifted in marginally away from FLYING NOBLE. DOCTORS DELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of TRIUMPHANT LIGHT in consequence. Z Purton was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, ALLEVINO was shifted out away from the heels of COME ON WONGCHOY which made the turn awkwardly. After this, ALLEVINO travelled wide and without cover. Passing the 800 Metres, DOCTORS DELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of TRIUMPHANT LIGHT after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. At the entrance to the Straight, LUCKY MASTER was momentarily crowded for room inside HAPPY SEBRING which was then directed out by its rider to relieve the tightening to LUCKY MASTER. HAPPY SEBRING was then badly held up for clear running until approaching the 100 Metres at which point it shifted out and brushed TRIUMPHANT LIGHT. Passing the 400 Metres, NICE KICK was disappointed for running between FLYING NOBLE and MEGA TREASURE which shifted in slightly. In this incident, NICE KICK made contact with the hindquarters of MEGA TREASURE which became unbalanced. Passing the 300 Metres, LONDON HALL, which was racing greenly, shifted out to obtain clear running and in doing so made contact with the hindquarters of DOCTORS DELIGHT which became unbalanced. LONDON HALL continued to race greenly when placed under pressure and again shifted out and inconvenienced DOCTORS DELIGHT after passing the 200 Metres. Approaching the 200 Metres, TRIUMPHANT LIGHT was inconvenienced by MEGA TREASURE which shifted out under pressure. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, LUCKY MASTER had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages, LONDON HALL was awkwardly placed inside the heels of FLAME LILY which shifted in under pressure. Throughout the race, MEGA TREASURE and FORTUNE WAY travelled wide and without cover. The performance of COME ON WONGCHOY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, COME ON WONGCHOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of COME ON WONGCHOY and DOCTORS DELIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of FLYING NOBLE immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg and an endoscopic examination conducted on the horse showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING NOBLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLYING NOBLE, HAPPY SEBRING and FLAME LILY were sent for sampling.
