MASSIVE MILLENNIUM reared as the start was effected and consequently lost ground. ELITE POWER began very awkwardly and bumped heavily with the outside of its stall, resulting in the horse losing a considerable amount of ground. In this incident, ELITE POWER shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of THE HAPPY BUNCH, resulting in that horse becoming unbalanced. Before being allowed to race again, ELITE POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. EQUITY DOCTRINE began only fairly. Despite being ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stage, HAPPY SOUND failed to muster speed. Passing the 1000 Metres, CORRE RAPIDO was awkwardly placed behind THE HAPPY BUNCH. Passing the 900 Metres, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM was momentarily crowded for room inside CORRE RAPIDO which was taken in by HAPPY SOUND (C Y Ho). C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. THE HAPPY BUNCH made the turn after the 700 Metres awkwardly and shifted out and subsequently travelled wide and without cover. In this incident, HAPPY SOUND was taken wider and as a result also travelled wide and without cover. Near the 550 Metres, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM was awkwardly placed behind CORRE RAPIDO. Also near the 550 Metres, RAINBOW GOLD got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of HAPPY SOUND. Rounding the Home Turn, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY improved into tight running between HAPPY SOUND and FURLONG DRAGON. Then near the 400 Metres, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY raced tight between HAPPY SOUND and FURLONG DRAGON as a result of FURLONG DRAGON shifting out marginally when giving ground abruptly. A veterinary inspection of FURLONG DRAGON immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Near the 150 Metres, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM was shifted in away from the heels of THE HAPPY BUNCH. Close to the finishing line, RAINBOW GOLD lay in under pressure, resulting in its rider having to straighten the horse. Because of this, RAINBOW GOLD was not able to be fully tested all the way to the end of the race. A veterinary inspection of MASSIVE MILLENNIUM and AMBITIOUS SPEEDY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, both horses were unable to be scoped due to being fractious. SNOWHOOVES and EQUITY DOCTRINE were sent for sampling. <9/7/2018 Additional Veterinary Report>MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. MASSIVE MILLENNIUM was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T P Yung this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AMBITIOUS SPEEDY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious. AMBITIOUS SPEEDY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A Lee this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
