THUNDER STOMP shifted out at the start and bumped NITRO EXPRESS, causing both horses to become unbalanced. FAITHFUL TRINITY and SUPER FORM bumped at the start. NAMJONG PLUS, BRAVE LEGEND and SLEEP EDUCATION were all shifted across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SLEEP EDUCATION and DYNAMIC EAGLE raced tight. Near the 1250 Metres, DYNAMIC EAGLE and SUPER FORM bumped. Over the concluding stages, DYNAMIC EAGLE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SLEEP EDUCATION which shifted in. After the race, D Whyte reported that NITRO EXPRESS, which had previously been reported as a "roarer”, made an abnormal respiratory noise. An endoscopic examination of NITRO EXPRESS did not reveal any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of THUNDER STOMP immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained an overreached wound to the left front foot. FAITHFUL TRINITY and FRIENDS OF KA YING were sent for sampling.
