HANG’S DECISION bounded in the air as the start was effected and consequently lost ground. FLASH FAMOUS began only fairly. SIXTY SIXTY shifted out at the start and bumped SAM’S LOVE which momentarily raced tight inside BLOCKER DEE. From wide barriers, KIRAM and REMARKABLE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SIXTY SIXTY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of BLOCKER DEE (Apprentice C Wong) which shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice Wong was reprimanded. Passing the 1400 Metres, FLASH FAMOUS commenced to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up when being steadied. When this happened, FLASH FAMOUS shifted out abruptly, resulting in CIRCUIT HASSLER being hampered when taken out across the heels of SAM’S LOVE. BIZ POWER, which was following CIRCUIT HASSLER, was checked away from the heels of that horse in consequence and shifted out, resulting in WHAMPOA STAR being inconvenienced and taken wider. After this, WHAMPOA STAR travelled wide and without cover and FLASH FAMOUS continued to travel keenly. Approaching the 100 Metres, BIZ POWER and KIRAM raced tight. Throughout the race, SUMSTREETSUMWHERE travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SUMSTREETSUMWHERE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SIXTY SIXTY had bled from both nostrils. ELUSIVE STATE and HANG’S DECISION were sent for sampling.
