As the start was effected, IRISH VEGA lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently missed the start. After racing in restricted room between WARM THE VOICE and BANK ON RED soon after the start, ACCLAIMED LIGHT stumbled of its own accord. RELENTLESS ME raced wide and without cover until approaching the 1100 Metres. Passing the 500 Metres, RELENTLESS ME was steadied when momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of TOP LAURELS (K Teetan) which shifted in as it improved to the outside of RELENTLESS ME. K Teetan was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 200 Metres, NITRO EXPRESS was checked when attempting to improve between FAITHFUL TRINITY and RELENTLESS ME where there was insufficient room. After being checked, NITRO EXPRESS was directed to the outside of RELENTLESS ME to continue improving. Passing the 100 Metres, BANK ON RED was momentarily awkwardly placed behind TOP LAURELS before shifting to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running. Following the race, K C Leung reported that due to the solid pace in the early and middle stages, BEAUTY LOYAL failed to see out the 1650 Metres at the first time of asking in tonight’s event. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY LOYAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of FAITHFUL TRINITY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HAPPY DRAGON and BANK ON RED were sent for sampling.
