After being loaded into the barriers, MASTER ALBERT reared on a number of occasions and as the start was effected again reared and consequently lost ground. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER ALBERT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
THE ONE was crowded for room on jumping between CALIFORNIA ARCHER and EXPLOSIVE WITNESS which shifted out.
HAIR TRIGGER began awkwardly.
HAPPY VICTORY and FAIRY TWINS bumped at the start.
Passing the 900 Metres, EXPLOSIVE WITNESS was awkwardly placed outside I AM POWER which shifted out before being straightened by its rider.
In the early stages, EXPLOSIVE WITNESS travelled keenly and after the 700 Metres shifted in and raced tight against I AM POWER.
CHEEKY BEE was held up for clear running close to the finishing line and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
A veterinary inspection of HAIR TRIGGER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CALIFORNIA ARCHER and SPEEDY KING were sent for sampling.
<21/1/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>HAIR TRIGGER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. HAIR TRIGGER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Moore this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, HAIR TRIGGER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
