MANAGEMENT STAR began very awkwardly and made heavy contact with the outside of its barrier stall on jumping. SAVVY SEVEN and YOUNG GLORY bumped heavily at the start. From a wide barrier, LAUGH OUT LOUD was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. C Murray (ROMANTIC JOURNEY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 1400 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of BONITO, causing that horse to be unnecessarily hampered and to lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. C Murray was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 20 February 2019 and to expire on Monday, 25 February 2019 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). Approaching the 500 Metres, YOUNG GLORY and ROMANTIC JOURNEY raced tight as YOUNG GLORY improved to the outside of MANAGEMENT STAR. Passing the 300 Metres, LAUGH OUT LOUD improved quickly onto the heels of STARLOT which was giving ground. LAUGH OUT LOUD then got its head up when checked away from the heels of STARLOT and shifted out abruptly, resulting in MONEY WINNER being crowded for room inside YOUNG GLORY and losing ground. MANAGEMENT STAR and SAVVY SEVEN were sent for sampling.
