TRAVEL EMPEROR was withdrawn on 23.3.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right fore suspensory injury). STAR SUPERIOR was also withdrawn on 23.3.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, TRAVEL EMPEROR and STAR SUPERIOR will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GAINFULJET began awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and bumped SUNSHINE UNIVERSE. GAINFULJET then continued to shift out, resulting in SUNSHINE UNIVERSE and BELLA BABY being hampered and taken out onto HAPPY WINNER which was steadied when crowded for room.
GREAT FIT began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped WINNING WARRIOR.
WHAT A LEGEND had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 400 Metres.
After racing tight outside WINNING WARRIOR approaching the 100 Metres, TELECOM ROCKET got its head up when being steadied near the 50 Metres as a result of being bumped by WINNING WARRIOR which was taken out by BELLA BABY which shifted out under pressure.
For the majority of the race, TELECOM ROCKET raced its head on the side and lay out.
After the race, A Sanna expressed concern regarding the action of HAPPY WINNER. The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY WINNER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of BELLA BABY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of GAINFULJET immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
VOYAGE WARRIOR and WHAT A LEGEND were sent for sampling.
