HAPPY OUT THERE was withdrawn on 23.3.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (suspected head trauma) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter STARLOT (K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY OUT THERE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On arrival at the Start, C Y Ho expressed concern regarding the action of REAL GIANT. An examination of REAL GIANT by the Veterinary Officer found that horse to be lame in its right front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, REAL GIANT was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, REAL GIANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. OTOUTO began awkwardly and then shortly after the start stumbled. OTOUTO then shifted out, resulting in M REBORN being inconvenienced. MASSIVE MOVE shifted out at the start and bumped PERFECT CHOICE. MASSIVE MOVE and PERFECT CHOICE were then taken out shortly after the start by RICHCITY FORTUNE which shifted out marginally. When PERFECT CHOICE was taken out, HK TOURBILLON, which was being steadied to obtain cover, clipped the heels of that horse and stumbled. Then, despite being hard ridden for some distance in the early stages, MASSIVE MOVE failed to muster speed. When being steadied from a wide barrier to obtain cover, STARLOT was bumped a short distance after the start by THE HAPPY BUNCH which shifted out. RAICHU had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. NATURAL FLARE was badly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then approaching the 300 Metres shifted out and bumped THE HAPPY BUNCH. NATURAL FLARE continued to be held up for clear running until approaching the 200 Metres. Near the 150 Metres, RAICHU was steadied when crowded for room between M REBORN and OTOUTO, both of which shifted a minimal amount of ground. Throughout the race, NASHASHUK travelled wide and without cover and after the 600 Metres commenced to lay out. NASHASHUK then made the Home Turn awkwardly and after this gave ground. A veterinary inspection of MASSIVE MOVE, HK TOURBILLON and NASHASHUK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NATURAL FLARE and OTOUTO were sent for sampling. <25/3/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>HK TOURBILLON, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. HK TOURBILLON was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, HK TOURBILLON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
