YEE CHEONG BABY shifted out at the start and bumped FRUSTRATED which in turn shifted out and inconvenienced KEEP MOVING. BEAR AGAIN stumbled badly at the start. MEGA HEART was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. After travelling a short distance, BEAR AGAIN was crowded for room between MAGIC LEGEND and HONG KONG BET which was taken out by GOLDEN DASH. After this, both HONG KONG BET and BEAR AGAIN were shifted across behind runners from wide barriers. SPACE travelled keenly approaching the 600 Metres and then made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of HEALTHY LUCK. HONG KONG BET raced with its head on the side and lay out after the 500 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, GOLDEN DASH, which was finishing off the race strongly, was shifted to the inside of HEALTHY LUCK when laying in under pressure. Approaching the 100 Metres, HONG KONG BET shifted out abruptly away from the heels of DREAM COME TRUE which was giving ground. After the race, Apprentice C Wong stated that after riding his mount along in the early stages to obtain a forward position, FRUSTRATED did not show sufficient speed to cross YEE CHEONG BABY to its inside and was then left racing wide and without cover. He said making the turn after the 600 Metres FRUSTRATED lay out and then came under pressure in the early part of the Straight. He said FRUSTRATED initially responded satisfactorily, however, commenced to lay in approaching the 100 Metres as it tired. He added over the concluding stages FRUSTRATED did not finish off the race which he attributed to the fact that the horse had been required to travel wide and without cover throughout the race. A veterinary inspection of FRUSTRATED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of DREAM COME TRUE immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg and have shifted its left front plate. Before being allowed to race again, DREAM COME TRUE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MAGIC LEGEND had sustained a wound to the front of the left hind fetlock. YEE CHEONG BABY and MAGIC LEGEND were sent for sampling.
