Shortly after the start, SIMPLY BRILLIANT was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY GENERATION which shifted out. After the 1500 Metres, SINGAPORE SLING was awkwardly placed outside the heels of BEAUTY GENERATION. Approaching the 1400 Metres, RISE HIGH became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of CONTE (J Moreira) which shifted in when not properly clear. J Moreira was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. After the race, J Moreira reported that CONTE was disappointing in today’s race. He said the horse initially quickened for him at the entrance to the Straight, however, its run finished near the 200 Metres and then was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of CONTE immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a wound to the outside of the right hind cannon. BEAUTY GENERATION and SINGAPORE SLING were sent for sampling. <29/4/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that ROMANTIC TOUCH was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, ROMANTIC TOUCH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
