SHARP STYLE shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of NORDIC WARRIOR. SUPER MISSILE began only fairly and then lost ground when awkwardly placed outside the heels of FIRST RESPONDER shortly after the start. SPACE began awkwardly. After initially being ridden along in the early stages, AEROHAPPINESS was shifted across behind runners shortly after the start to obtain cover. AEROHAPPINESS made the turn after the 900 Metres awkwardly and then got its head on the side and lay in in the early part of the Straight. Near the 750 Metres, SUPER MISSILE became unbalanced when momentarily placed in restricted room inside SHARP STYLE which lay in marginally. Near the 550 Metres, UNIQUE TREASURE (U Rispoli) was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NORDIC WARRIOR. U Rispoli reported that after the race UNIQUE TREASURE did not feel comfortable in its action. The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that an examination of UNIQUE TREASURE did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, UNIQUE TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Passing the 400 Metres, NORDIC WARRIOR, which improved into tight running inside CALIFORNIA GUNGHO, became unbalanced when crowded for room inside CALIFORNIA GUNGHO which was awkwardly placed inside UTOPIA LIFE which shifted in marginally. Approaching the 300 Metres, SUPER MISSILE was severely checked away from the heels of SPACE when held up for clear running behind that horse. When being checked away from the heels of SPACE, SUPER MISSILE shifted out and bumped THE JUDGE which was held up for clear running behind SHARP STYLE. Approaching the 200 Metres, Z Purton (UTOPIA LIFE) almost dropped his whip before regathering it. Approaching the 100 Metres, UTOPIA LIFE was steadied as CALIFORNIA GUNGHO shifted to the outside of TEAM SPIRIT and FIRST RESPONDER shifted in away from CHARIZARD. For the majority of the race, SPACE travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of SPACE, SUPER MISSILE and NORDIC WARRIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FIRST RESPONDER, TEAM SPIRIT and CHARIZARD were sent for sampling. <14/5/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, U Rispoli reported that UNIQUE TREASURE did not feel comfortable in its action. The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that an examination of UNIQUE TREASURE did not show any significant findings. UNIQUE TREASURE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K H Ting last Sunday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. As previously advised, UNIQUE TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
