Just prior to the start being effected, SURREALISM reared and briefly rested its right front foot on the barrier gate. MR ALDAN and GUY DRAGON began only fairly. SUPER MISSILE, which also began only fairly, was steadied shortly after the start when crowded for room between GUY DRAGON and LADY FIRST (K C Leung) which shifted in. K C Leung was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. SURREALISM and KING PRINT were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover. In the early stages, COBY BOY was left racing wide and was steadied after the 1200 Metres to obtain cover. Making the turn after the 900 Metres, MR ALDAN got its head on the side and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of PRIVATE ROCKET which lay in after being awkwardly placed behind LADY FIRST. Passing the 600 Metres, SUPER MISSILE came under pressure and then in the early part of the Straight was eased out of the race. A veterinary inspection of SUPER MISSILE immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER MISSILE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Prior to the declaration of weighed-in, C Schofield, the rider of the second placed, GUY DRAGON, viewed the video to determine whether there were grounds for a protest/objection against PRIVATE ROCKET being declared the winner. It was established that near the 150 Metres GUY DRAGON shifted out away from PRIVATE ROCKET which shifted out under pressure and again after the 100 Metres GUY DRAGON shifted out away from PRIVATE ROCKET as that horse shifted out abruptly under pressure. As there was no contact between GUY DRAGON and PRIVATE ROCKET, rather it was a case of GUY DRAGON shifting out away from PRIVATE ROCKET, the matter did not proceed to a formal protest/objection hearing. STAR MAJESTIC was unable to obtain clear running from passing the 300 Metres until after the 200 Metres. PRIVATE ROCKET and GUY DRAGON were sent for sampling. <10/6/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPER MISSILE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. SUPER MISSILE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer F C Lor yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a large swelling over the left front tendon area. As previously advised, SUPER MISSILE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
