Steward Report Predict Pace Map
WATER DIVINER began only fairly and then was crowded for room shortly after the start between LOVING A BOOM and SPEED VISION which shifted out. After this, WATER DIVINER was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed. TORNADO TWIST was shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. Passing the 700 Metres, PERFECT GLORY got its head up when racing in restricted room between SUPER TURBO and TORNADO TWIST which improved to be racing outside WALDORF. Passing the 500 Metres, SUPER TURBO was shifted away from the heels of TORNADO TWIST which improved outside WATER DIVINER. After the 400 Metres, SPEED VISION gave ground abruptly and finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of SPEED VISION immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. The performance of SPEED VISION was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SPEED VISION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. At the entrance to the Straight, PRANCE DRAGON and LOVING A BOOM bumped. Passing the 250 Metres, WALDORF shifted out and brushed WATER DIVINER which got its head on the side and lay in. WALDORF and WATER DIVINER then raced tight for some distance approaching the 100 Metres as WATER DIVINER continued to lay in under pressure. For the majority of the race, PRANCE DRAGON travelled wide and without cover. The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if KASI FARASI had been afforded a fair start. Evidence was taken from Jockey V Borges, Mr K H Ting, trainer of KASI FARASI, and Mr A Speechley, Starter. It was established that after being loaded into the barriers KASI FARASI became fractious and got its head down to the left for a relatively significant period. When KASI FARASI got its head down, the horse did not have all four feet on the ground as the start was effected. As the Stewards were of the opinion that KASI FARASI had not been afforded a fair start, acting under the powers of Rule 12(19), they declared the horse to be a non-runner. Before being allowed to race again, KASI FARASI will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. When questioned regarding the performance of PERFECT GLORY, Z Purton stated that near the 850 Metres he was struck by some kickback as PERFECT GLORY was momentarily crowded for room inside WATER DIVINER. He said this placed him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race, however, he was still able to ride out PERFECT GLORY. He said at no stage did PERFECT GLORY travel well and appeared to resent being amongst runners as the horse got its head up on a number of occasions when momentarily racing in restricted room between SUPER TURBO and TORNADO TWIST after the 700 Metres. He added PERFECT GLORY was never on the bridle and after being placed under heavy pressure rounding the Home Turn did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of PERFECT GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of SUPER TURBO and SUNNY BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUNNY BOY, TORNADO TWIST and LOVING A BOOM were sent for sampling. <11/7/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPER TURBO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SUPER TURBO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER TURBO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
