STRONG PROMISE was slow to begin.
KA YING EXCELLENT began only fairly.
MOON PEAKS and INNER FLAME bumped at the start.
APOLLOS BOW jumped in at the start and made contact with COPARTNER ERA which became unbalanced.
From the outside barrier, FORTUNE PATROL was steadied and shifted across behind runners soon after the start to obtain cover.
In the early stages, DRAGON BOLT raced greenly and got its head up for some distance approaching the first turn.
Making the first turn approaching the 800 Metres, COPARTNER ERA shifted out and became very awkward near the heels of EPTIWINS. KA YING EXCELLENT, which was racing to the outside of COPARTNER ERA, was inconvenienced and taken wider.
From the entrance to the Straight until after passing the 300 Metres, TREASURE CHEST was held up behind GLORIOUS BUDDY.
Approaching the 250 Metres, STRONG PROMISE shifted in abruptly away from the heels of APOLLOS BOW and inconvenienced FORTUNE PATROL.
For the majority of the race, APOLLOS BOW travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of GLORIOUS BUDDY, which weakened badly in the Straight, immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
INNER FLAME and MOON PEAKS were sent for sampling.
