Approaching and passing the 800 Metres, XIANG BAI QI commenced to travel keenly and was very awkwardly placed behind FLASH FAMOUS.
Passing the 300 Metres, WIND GLIDER was steadied away from the heels of TOP SCORE after being disappointed for running between that horse and GREEN REIGN which shifted in.
Also passing the 300 Metres, DYNAMIC EAGLE got its head up when awkwardly placed behind JOLLY HONOUR.
XIANG BAI QI was held up for clear running approaching and passing the 250 Metres and after being disappointed for a run between FLASH FAMOUS and DYNAMIC EAGLE was steadied and shifted out passing the 200 Metres to improve.
Passing the 100 Metres, WIND GLIDER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of GREEN REIGN which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection of XIANG BAI QI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GRACEANDMERCY at the request of Trainer A T Millard. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GRACEANDMERCY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FLASH FAMOUS, DELIGHTFUL LAOS and GREEN REIGN were sent for sampling.
