STARLOT was withdrawn on 8.6.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOLDEN CANNON. Before being allowed to race again, STARLOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NITRO EXPRESS began awkwardly. GOLDEN CANNON shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of GREEN GENERATION which shifted in. GREEN GENERATION consequently became unbalanced and shifted in further, resulting in GOLDEN CANNON losing ground when crowded for room. After this, GREEN GENERATION was steadied to obtain cover. Shortly after the start, E GENERATION raced in restricted room between DOCTORS DELIGHT and WONDERFUL TIGER which was taken in marginally by TREASURE CHEST. After this, from a wide barrier, WONDERFUL TIGER was shifted across behind runners. GREEN GENERATION lost its right hind plate near the 1600 Metres. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, V CHEVALIERS raced tight inside HAPPY HOUR. Passing the 1300 Metres, PLIKCLONE was awkwardly placed behind V CHEVALIERS. Near the 1150 Metres, NITRO EXPRESS was momentarily crowded for room inside V CHEVALIERS which shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY HOUR. After racing wide and without cover until near the 1100 Metres, DOCTORS DELIGHT was then again left racing wide and without cover after the 1000 Metres. For a considerable distance after the 800 Metres, V CHEVALIERS was unable to improve when awkwardly placed behind HAPPY HOUR and racing inside DOCTORS DELIGHT and then WONDERFUL TIGER as those horses improved to its outside. This resulted in V CHEVALIERS losing its position after the 700 Metres due to the circumstances of the race. Passing the 300 Metres, V CHEVALIERS was shifted to the inside of GREEN GENERATION to obtain clear running. After the 200 Metres, CURLING LUXURY got its head on the side and lay in. WONDERFUL TIGER lay in under pressure in the Straight. HAPPY HOUR lost its left front plate after the race. After the race, Z Purton was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of HAPPY HOUR which gave ground in the Straight. He said the horse travelled satisfactorily in the middle stages, however did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY HOUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of WONDERFUL TIGER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TREASURE CHEST, CURLING LUXURY and MISCHIEVOUS SUNDAE were sent for sampling.
