SEVEN HEAVENS was crowded for room on jumping between WON BALL and JUST NOT LISTENING, both of which shifted ground. This resulted in SEVEN HEAVENS losing ground and WON BALL and JUST NOT LISTENING becoming unbalanced. After this, from wide barriers, WON BALL and SEVEN HEAVENS were steadied and shifted across behind runners.
In the early stages, VICTORY POWER was steadied to obtain cover.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, TOM’S STYLE raced tight inside TELECOM PUMA which got its head on the side and lay in.
MASTER ALBERT lay out making the turn after the 1000 Metres, resulting in SUNSET WATCH being inconvenienced.
Throughout the race, JUST NOT LISTENING travelled wide and without cover and making the turn after the 500 Metres got its head on the side and lay out. JUST NOT LISTENING continued to lay out rounding the Home Turn and after the 300 Metres shifted out abruptly away from VICTORY POWER which was shifted out to obtain a run. VICTORY POWER then continued to shift to the outside of SUNSET WATCH approaching the 200 Metres to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA GUNGHO, MASTER ALBERT and TOM’S STYLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BEAUTY SPARK, WIND N GRASS and LITTLE BIRD were sent for sampling.
