WHO’S HORSE was withdrawn on 9.10.20 by order of the Stewards (stable transfer) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOLDEN GENERAL (K C Leung). MASTER ROMAN began only fairly. YES WE CAN began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SHINEALOT. NUNCHUKS and SACRED TIMING bumped at the start. When being steadied to obtain cover behind PRIME TIME, GOLDEN GENERAL got its head up and raced ungenerously passing the 1500 Metres. Passing the 1200 Metres, PRIME TIME commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind SMART THINKER which was steadied to obtain cover. Approaching the 1000 Metres, GOLDEN GENERAL commenced to travel very keenly and got its head up for some distance when being checked away from the heels of SACRED TIMING. GOLDEN GENERAL then continued to race ungenerously and after the 1000 Metres was shifted to the outside of SACRED TIMING and allowed to improve its position. GOLDEN GENERAL was consequently left racing wide and without cover for the remainder of the race. Near the 950 Metres, PRIME TIME got its head up when travelling keenly and again awkwardly placed behind SMART THINKER. Passing the 500 Metres, SACRED TIMING was bumped and taken wider by NUNCHUKS (C Y Ho) which shifted out away from the heels of PRIME TIME after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. C Y Ho was advised that there had been a number of instances where he had shifted out to obtain clear running and in doing so placed pressure on runners on his outside. He was told to exercise appropriate care in similar circumstances to ensure that he avoids making contact with other horses wherever possible. Passing the 350 Metres, PRIME TIME got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure. Passing the 100 Metres, BREAK RECORD was brushed by LAOS ENLIGHTENMENT which shifted out. A veterinary inspection of BREAK RECORD and CHARITYDREAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GREAT HARVEST, NUNCHUKS and YES WE CAN were sent for sampling.
