NOTHING NEW shifted out the start and inconvenienced SUNNY STAR. SUNNY STAR was then steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail. NAMJONG PLUS and ROYAL BOMB bumped on jumping. After this, NAMJONG PLUS was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. From the outside barrier, WEALTHY DELIGHT was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail. Near the 1150 Metres, NOTHING NEW got its head up when travelling keenly and being steadied away from the heels of TURIN REDSTAR which at this stage was steadied by its rider to allow GALLANT CROWN and ROYAL BOMB to cross. Near the 1000 Metres, HEAVENLY THOUGHT was left racing wide and without cover. After the 1000 Metres, TURIN REDSTAR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GALLANT CROWN. Near the 800 Metres, WEALTHY DELIGHT was shifted out away from the heels of NAMJONG PLUS when being directed to the outside of that horse to commence improving. After the 250 Metres, WEALTHY DELIGHT was shifted out away from the heels of NOTHING NEW which shifted out away from RIGHT HONOURABLE. Near the 75 Metres and again passing the 50 Metres, NOTHING NEW was shifted out away from the heels of RIGHT HONOURABLE which shifted ground marginally. RIGHT HONOURABLE lost its right front plate after the race. When questioned regarding the performance of INDICATIVE VOTE, J Moreira stated that, in his opinion, the horse was disappointing in tonight’s race given that it was able to obtain a good position behind the leaders in the early and middle stages. He said he commenced to become concerned regarding INDICATIVE VOTE’s ability to finish off the race near the 600 Metres when the tempo of the race increased and the horse was not able to maintain its position without having to be ridden along. He added after this INDICATIVE VOTE maintained its position until entering the Straight at which stage the horse came under heavy pressure and did not finish off the race despite being ridden out. A veterinary inspection of INDICATIVE VOTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, it was noted that NAMJONG PLUS had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of HEAVENLY THOUGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TURIN REDSTAR and GALLANT CROWN were sent for sampling.
