PRECISE EXPRESS began awkwardly and lost ground. EVERYONE’S DELIGHT got its head on the side, shifted out shortly after the start and inconvenienced INCANTO PREPARED. SURREALISM shifted out on jumping and bumped YOU’REMYEVERYTHING. After this, SURREALISM was steadied to obtain cover. From the outside barriers, GORYTUS, CHEERFUL DAYS and CINQUANTE CINQ were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover. Throughout the race, YOU’REMYEVERYTHING travelled wide and without cover and passing the winning post on the first occasion shifted in and bumped INCANTO PREPARED. Rounding the Home Turn, EXCEPTIONAL NICE shifted out and brushed INCANTO PREPARED. After the 200 Metres, SUPER BUDDY raced tight inside PRECISE EXPRESS which shifted in. Passing the 50 Metres, PRECISE EXPRESS was steadied when crowded for room between EXCEPTIONAL NICE and EVERYONE’S DELIGHT (M L Yeung) which shifted out. M L Yeung was reprimanded and told to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances. Over the concluding stages, SURREALISM raced tight inside YOU’REMYEVERYTHING. Also over the concluding stages, CHEERFUL DAYS was held up for clear running when awkwardly placed behind TURIN REDSTAR. Because of this, CHEERFUL DAYS was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race. After the race, K Teetan reported that SUPER BUDDY did not feel comfortable in its action over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of SUPER BUDDY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER BUDDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of CHEERFUL DAYS and PRECISE EXPRESS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. YOU’REMYEVERYTHING, INCANTO PREPARED and FAST PACE were sent for sampling.
