As the start was effected, EQUILIBRIUM TURBO became fractious and began very awkwardly, resulting in the horse losing ground. EQUILIBRIUM TURBO, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong tonight, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being permitted to race again. NEVER TOO SOON shifted in at the start and bumped COMPASSION SPIRIT. JAZZ ANGEL began only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. MOMENTUM GALAXY shifted out at the start and bumped NAMJONG SINGS which became unbalanced. MOMENTUM GALAXY was then crowded for room between NAMJONG SINGS and EVER FORCE which shifted out. After this, MOMENTUM GALAXY and NAMJONG SINGS were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, SPONTANEOUS got its head up when racing close to the heels of NEVER TOO SOON. MOMENTUM GALAXY, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence. After this, both SPONTANEOUS and MOMENTUM GALAXY travelled keenly approaching and passing the 900 Metres. Approaching and passing the 800 Metres, A SMILE LIKE YOURS was inconvenienced when having to be shifted out away from the heels of NEVER TOO SOON which, when travelling keenly, shifted out when awkwardly placed behind COLONEL. A SMILE LIKE YOURS was then left racing wide and without cover near the 700 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, NEVER TOO SOON got its head on the side and lay in. Approaching the 150 Metres, M F Poon (NEVER TOO SOON) momentarily dropped his whip before being able to regather it. Approaching the 50 Metres, JAZZ ANGEL was shifted out away from the heels of COMPASSION SPIRIT which was shifted to the outside of JOLLY GOOD HEART to continue improving. A veterinary inspection of NEVER TOO SOON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A SMILE LIKE YOURS and JOLLY GOOD HEART were sent for sampling.
